Lavorel Hotels is an independent hotel group based in Lyon, embodying a distinctive vision of hospitality: relaxed luxury that is authentic and deeply human. Founded in 2015 by Jean-Claude Lavorel, a passionate entrepreneur, the group stands out for its creative, personalised and warm approach to service, driven by strong values: excellence, creativity and kindness.

Today, Lavorel Hotels comprises a portfolio of prestigious properties, the river cruise company Les Bateaux Lyonnais, Le Château des Ravatys wine estate, an iconic château available for exclusive private hire, Château de Bagnols, as well as the Kopster Hotels brand, which embodies chic urban hospitality.

Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation

The group has also embarked on a structured philanthropic initiative through the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation, established at the instigation of its founder.

The Foundation focuses its efforts on two major missions:

• The fight against cancer, notably through supporting associations dedicated to medical research and patient care.
• The protection of children, in partnership with organisations committed to children’s wellbeing, education and inclusion.

Among the concrete actions undertaken, the Foundation supports and works alongside several recognised organisations, such as the Centre Léon Bérard, Ma Chance Moi Aussi, Noël Ensemble, 2,500 Voices and SapoCycle, reflecting a long-term, charitable commitment at the very heart of the group’s values.
